BBC Beats The Band For Pro Brussels Bias

Just watched the BBC Newsnight item on the Brexit debate. It is patently obvious that Auntie has decided we must stay in the EU and so only arguments that support that view will be given credence.

They spoke of the deal Norway, Switzerland and Iceland had with the EU and were at pains to say how terrible they were. What they failed to mention was that these are comparatively tiny economies with no clout to negotiate terms. If all three of those countries stopped trading with Europe tomorrow they wouldn't even notice.

We are the fifth largest economy in the world. Our financial services are probably the second or third largest. The EU cannot afford for us to cease trading with them so when it comes to a negotiation we are not Norway, Switzerland or Iceland. We will be able to work out a deal that is not like anyone else s. Don't let Auntie fool you; this is not a case of letting go of nurse for fear of finding something worse this is about leaving a dysfunctional family so that we can have a proper grown up relationship not only with Europe but also with the rest of the world.

Forget the socialist party line, we don't need "ever closer union", we don't need "freedom of movement"' we need ever closer ties with global trade and the freedom to move our goods and services with the EU and the the likes of China, the BRICK nations and everybody else without the sheet anchor of an un-elected bloated Brussels bureaucracy. VOTE LEAVE.

Angela Merkel’s Gaffe is Set to Ruin Europe and Continue to Distress Migrants

I believe that Angela Merkel has a lot to answer for with regard to her open offer of settlement, the promotion of "the free movement of people" and open borders. Did she not realise it would be like opening a grocery shop that gave out free food; you'd never be short of customers and many of them wouldn't be there because of need, they'd be there because it was free (see "food banks").

Most of this swarm (word chosen deliberately as it describes a host of individuals intent on improving their own lot without thought care for the inevitable deviation caused) are not fleeing from war or terror, they are moving toward what they perceive to be a promised land flowing with milk and honey (and I'm sure they won't appreciate the Jewish/Christian scriptural reference, but I don't care).

I have heard it said that some people think that most of the migrants flooding out of Africa and Afghanistan are terrorists.  Personally I don't think that "most" are terrorists, but EU figures seem to show that only one in four are Syrians. I would guess that even of that number the bulk are economic migrants rather than destitute downtrodden refugees in the true definition of the term.

The crisis, which Angela Merkel has single-handedly done so much to exacerbate again shows the stupidity of the socialist dream of a federalised, centralised "United States of Europe". The thinking that one policy fits all, be it monetary, diplomatic, asylum seekers or even Health and Safety is patently ludicrous and unworkable. When will she realise that prosperity only lies in a the free movement of commodities, goods, and services across boarders (i.e. a Common Market) and not "Ever Closer (political and monetary) Union?

Miliband Minor Now Tries To Buy The Keys To No:10 With Our Money

Ed Miliband has pledged that LABOUR will introduce a new Home Rule Bill for Scotland within 100 days of being voted into office. He said his party had “delivered the vow” on more devolution, with draft clauses of legislation published last week, ready to be implemented by the new government. Miliband minor has said: “Just as in 1997, devolution will be one of the first things on our agenda for the next Labour Government.” What this really means in practice is that Scotland will get even more subsidy from the rest of the UK only to squander it on an unsustainable so called Socialist utopia.

Now that it looks like the labour Party's bid to weaponise the NHS is failing and people have wised up to the fact that their Mansion Tax will hit the hard working and the aspirational rather than Mephistopheles Mandelson's oligarch pals, they have to woo the Scottish Nationalists at any price. It has also been reported that they are even desperate enough to court the political arm of the IRA, Sinn Fein to join their unholy cabal (See Here). The only good news about the Sinn Fein overtures are that at this stage there doesn't appear to be a fixed monetary price on the sacrifice of scruples but in the murky world of coalition politics no one does anything for nothing .

What is the price we will all have to pay if Labour does get into government on the back of a Scottish Nationalist deal? I have already pointed in previous blogs to the parlous state of the French economy due to their experiment into Socialist anti-austerity economics (See Here) but, actually I could just as well point you to Scotland, which is just as bad as France gets away with its wanton profligacy because of the Barnet Formula and the other trinkets they have pickpocketed from the Westminster purse. Another example perniciously not working in our own back yard is Wales which represents, albeit in miniature, a Labour government without subsidy. If you think the NHS is safe in Labour's hands look at what they have done here. I shudder to even begin to imagine what the rest of the United Kingdom will be like if Red Ed and Balls (by name and nature) have to pay the ransom the SNP will demand for allowing them titular power. Instead of the usual Tax and Spend, Boom and Bust we'll all be subjected to Tax, Borrow and give it away to the Tartan Terrors. 

Labour and the SNP - A Marriage Made In The Fires Of Perdition

The Conservatives are saying that a coalition between Labour and the SNP would mean "chaos for Britain" .

Actually it would only be chaos for England, Northern Ireland and Wales. Scotland would behave like Boarder Reavers and rape and pillage the economy, holding Red Ed's feet to the fire as the price of power 

Should this scenario come to pass (God forbid) Scotland would seek to fuel their delusional Socalist wet dream using sassanach money; living like a bloated parasite draining away our life's blood. Britain would no longer be part of the United Kingdom, we would be part of, and ruled by vengeful Scots (heaven help us).

Tomorrow Scotland Decides

Dear (or should that be "Expensive?) Scotland:

Now that campaigning is all but over I feel it is safe to say to all the Scottish undecided voters; there is something you may want to consider, which I hope will help you make up your minds.

Please, please vote for secession and show us how wrong we are and how you can become the proud and independent nation you keep telling us you are. Fall in behind that smiling, avuncular and ever jovial Mr Salmond and march off into the sunlit upland of a free, prosperous and independent Scotland....

Meanwhile, back on planet earth... the Three main parties have all been telling you that "We're Better Together", The truth is it's a lie and all of them know it. The real truth is the majority of the rest of the British Isles don't want you to stay. We're sick of supporting you when all you do is whine and moan and continue in your Westminster supported, alcohol fuelled, benefit dependant, Socialist wet dream. Like un-weaned babies you have been bottle fed an infant's formula, The Barnet Formula. This has left you in a position of thinking that dependency is the norm and, somehow, a birthright.

The only reason the Labour Party and the Lib-Dems want you to stay is that they know that without their Scottish MP's they are dead in the water at next year's General Election. The Tories haven't stayed away from the campaign because they are toxic north of the border, they've steered clear because secretly they want you to go and take your Soviet, Union's loving Labourtites and the woolly, some would say feeble, minded wet and weary Liberals with you. Sadly though I think that there are too many of you who are savvy enough not to be turkeys willing to vote for an early Christmas or to elect yourselves to Third World, basket case, economic status.

For me the most amazing thing that has come out of watching this slow motion political car crash is that I thought I would never see a more loathsome, smug, self gratifying, disingenuous, or deceitful politician than Tony B Liar in my lifetime, but then up pops the afore mentioned Alec Salmond. He and Tony B are like buses, you wait a lifetime and then two come along almost together. Please jump on board your Mr Salmond's bus Scotland, it's not going where you think it is but from our perspective here in the rest of Great Britain the further away it takes you from the rest of us, the better off we will be.    

An Independent Scotland–An Unexpected Bonus

It has just occurred to me that should the Jocks decide in their referendum that their huff has arrived so they should leave in it, there is an immediate and real saving for the rest of us to be had from day one.

There are 59 Westminster Parliamentary Constituencies in Scotland. A Westminster MP is currently paid a salary of £66,396 English Pounds, so that’s £3,917,364 for all of them I've no idea what that will be in whatever currency they will end up using in Scotland should they secede, but then again neither does Alec Salmond (know what currency they will end up using that is). On top of this the 59 MPs claimed a total of £6,471,994 worth of expenses for 2011 which means the whole sorry lot costs us around £6.5 million per annum. An instant saving when they're no longer qualified to sit in Westminster.

The other good news of course is that the Labour Party would lose its 41 Scottish MPs and the Lib Dems their 6. Mr Miliband minor would find it much harder to get a parliamentary majority without a 40 plus seat head start. It might also do something to make the Lib Dems rue their failure to keep their promise to support boundary changes? Personally I'm still looking for the answer to my “Mortimer Question” i.e.If every Scot you meet insists on telling you how passionately Scottish they are and how they are deeply wedded to their heritage, homeland and culture, why are they living and working here in the land of the hated Sassenach?

Is Ed Balls (By Both name & nature) Really Pro Profit?

So; Ed Balls (by both name and nature) went to talk to the CBI conference to try and convince them he is pro-profit. Of course he is pro-profit, of course he wants businesses to make profit. "Make loads of money" he says; not so that the businesses can re-invest in growth, dividends and jobs, but so he can grab it all in tax and give it to; benefit scroungers, immigrants, Local Councils; who will spend it on Ethnic Councillors, supporting organisations like “Black Gay Whales Against The Bomb”, and creating “Make Work” jobs for the boys to again stuff the labour ballot box; and, above all, create more Big Government to regulate even more aspects of our lives.

It is a constant source of amazement to me that the current generation cannot understand that the visceral essence of a Labour Government is predicated on their intention to tax and spend. Or, maybe the current generation is waking up to it, hence Labour’s stated policy to reduce the voting age to 16? If you don’t believe that there is a fundamental flaw in the doctrine of squeezing the rich until the pips squeak.Take a look at what’s happening in France.

(Dennis Healey as Labour Shadow Chancellor at the Labour conference on 1 October 1973, he said, "I warn you that there are going to be howls of anguish from those rich enough to pay over 75% on their last slice of earnings". In a speech in Lincoln on 18 February 1974, reported in The Times the following day, Healey went further, promising he would "squeeze property speculators until the pips squeak". He was later widely reported as saying that Labour would "tax the rich until the pips squeak").

There is revolution abroad in the the streets of France again (isn’t there always I hear you cry) about what its Government is doing.

The President François Hollande, a former Socialist party administrator with no experience of government before winning the presidency, has embarked on a policy of tax and spend in an attempt to finance his spending spree on public services and government civil servants. However, Hollande last week had to announce the “suspension” of a pollution tax on lorries that had triggered protests in Brittany. That was not enough to satisfy the rebels, however. A coalition of Breton farmers, lorry drivers, trade unionists and employers has now gone on the warpath against the eco-tax, claiming that Brittany would be penalised under the rules because of its remoteness.

Quimper, a picturesque town in Brittany, is a colourful hub of commerce where butchers and bakers vie for customers with sellers of sausage, cheese and wine. It is also a nucleus of insurrection against the Socialist government in Paris. Geneviève Coadour, the florist, is a figurehead of the so-called red bonnet rebellion. In between attending to customers last Thursday morning, she distributed protest posters and talked strategy with other insurgents. “We’re generally fed up with a government making such bad decisions,” she said, in a reference to Hollande and his governing team. “Unemployment has gone up. Taxes have gone up. We’ve had enough. We want change. “The eco-tax was the last straw”.

Suspension of the so-called eco-tax followed a government announcement last Sunday that it was scrapping plans to increase tax on savings accounts after a public outcry and a poll showing that 72% of the French think they are paying too much tax. In spite of the revolt against his tax and spend methods Hollande has clung to his 75% tax on earnings above €1m a year despite football clubs’ threats of a strike at the end of this month. But a big increase in corporate tax was abandoned after a protest by entrepreneurs. As a result of the high-tax policies thousands of people have been driven to leave France for more gentle fiscal climes overseas. It is now estimated that there are more French millionaires living in London than there are in Paris.

Outside of France there are those in Brussels and in Bonn who believe that M. Hollande’s policies are more of a danger to the Euro than Greece, Spain, or even Italy.

If we want to see these same disastrous polices here in the UK all we have to do is to believe the disingenuous Mr Balls (by both name and nature) and of course Red Ed Milliband Minor. It’s either that or prepare to man the barricades.
